What data do we collect via the Web?

PARTICIPATION IN WORKSHOPS, COURSES, SEMINARS OR DAYS

 What data do we collect?

We will process your identification and contact details in order to be able to process your registration request as well as to confirm your attendance at the different training or information events organised by our entity.

  • Classes will take the form of online courses, which will be recorded as training support. The recording of the lessons will be published on the Intranet so that students who wish to do so can repeat it.

You are also informed that when you access the training sessions your camera and sound will remain disabled by default as the classes will be recorded and published as reinforcing material on the Training Intranet. It should be the learner himself or herself who consents to the processing and publication of his or her image and voice, who activates his or her camera and sound, thereby authorising, by means of an affirmative act, that we record and publish on the formative intranet his or her image and voice.

  • When expressly authorised, we will process your image and voice by publishing on our social media systems the photos and videos collected as part of the MAC Skilling project (code 1/MAC/1/1.3/0029).

 

For what purposes will we process your personal data?

  • Manage your registration for workshops, courses, seminars, days or events we organise.
  • Manage your registration on the training platform.
  • Manage your access monitoring on the training platform, course monitoring and results.
  • Manage certificate of assistance or recovery if applicable.
  • You will be asked to consent to the sending of information communications about other courses, activities or events promoted, or we have a stake in them.

What is the legal standing to process your data?

  • The entitlement to use your data is based on your consent when filling in the required registration form.
  • In order to make an application online, it is necessary to fill in a form and click on the send button. The completion of this form will necessarily mean that you have been informed of and have expressly consented to the content of the
    clause attached to that form or acceptance of the privacy policy.

To whom will your data be disclosed?

  • In order to properly manage and certify the courses carried out, we hereby inform you that the personal data provided will be shared with the project partner, StartUp Madeira, exclusively for the purpose of carrying out the necessary activities related to the issuance and validation of these certifications. This communication of data shall be carried out in such a way as to ensure compliance at all times with the legislation in force on data protection and ensure that it is used only for the purposes described. 
  • In order to provide the course service, we will communicate your data to the companies responsible for managing your registration and certification, to the professionals providing the course, and to the bodies that maintain the training intranet. Inform you that all the above entities will process your data as processors.


NEWSLETTER CONTACTS

What data do we collect through the newsletter?

  • On the ITC websites, you can subscribe to different Newsletters, if you provide us with an email address, to which it will be sent.
  • We will store only your email in our database, and we will send you emails regularly, until you request de-registration, or we stop sending emails.
  • You will always have the option to unsubscribe, in any communication.

For what purposes will we process your personal data?

  • Manage the requested service.
  • Information by electronic means, concerning your application.
  • Dissemination of activities and information of events by electronic means, subject to express authorisation.
  • Analyse and improve the mailing process in order to improve our dissemination strategy.

How long will we keep your personal data?

For the period of 1 month from their recruitment, except in the case of incidents, in which case they may be stored for a longer period until the end of the incident or until the recordings are communicated to the law enforcement authorities of the State or competent authorities.

Do we include personal data of third parties?

No, as a general rule we only process the data provided to us by the holders. If you provide us with data from third parties, you must first inform them and seek their consent from them, or otherwise we are relieved of any liability for failure to comply with this requirement.

And data on minors?

We do not process data on children under 14 years of age. Therefore, please refrain from providing them if you are not of that age or, as the case may be, from providing details of third parties who are not of that age. INSTITUTO TECNOLÓGICO DE CANARIAS, S.A. (ITC) is released from any liability for failure to comply with this provision.

What security measures do we implement?

Can be reassured, we have adopted an optimal level of protection of the personal data we handle and have implemented all the technical means and measures at our disposal according to the state of the technology to prevent loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access and theft.
